Le Pigeonnier
Le Pigeonnier is situated in an elevated position and enjoys lovely views across the valley from all rooms. Visitors have exclusive use of the large terrace and adjoining grassed area with trees. The dining room French windows open onto a tiled, partially enclosed area, which provides a shaded eating-out space.
Originally a barn, Le Pigeonnier has been converted into an attractive house, retaining the character of the stone walls and exposed beams, to provide quality accommodation for six people. The ground floor has terracotta style tiles throughout, whilst the first floor has chestnut floors and poplar ceilings.
You enter via the kitchen door from the south-facing terrace, which has garden furniture, recliners, and a barbecue. The kitchen has fitted oak units and is well-equipped with new electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffee-maker and electric kettle. There are adequate supplies of cooking utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery and glassware not only for six occupants but also for any visitors you may have.
To one side of the kitchen is the vaulted sitting-room, which opens onto the terrace, and to the other side is the beamed living/dining room, from which the oak open-tread stairs lead up to the first floor. The living rooms have comfortable easy chairs and dining furniture. There is a television, which receives Free-to-Air programmes including BBC and ITV as well as English language Radio, and a DVD/CD Player. Unlimited Broadband is available free-of-charge. A cast iron wood-burning stove is an attractive feature for out-of-season lets. There are three double bedrooms, all equipped with new beds and attractive pine furniture. Duvets and UK size pillows are provided, and linen and towels can be supplied at a small extra charge. A new pine cot and high-chair are available if required.
Bedroom 1 - double bed (with en-suite Shower Room incorporating WC and basin) All rooms are equipped with electric convector heaters for off-season lets. Full oil-fired central heating is installed and may be used by arrangement at a supplement of £25 per week.
